                  Adult Formation

The purpose of our Christian formation program is to provide opportunities for the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts in order for us to better seek and serve Christ in all persons. Our objective is to provide opportunities for all parishioners to grow and develop our understanding of faith while we strive, both as individuals and as a community, to challenge and alter our lives for God’s service.

We offer both ongoing and short-term learning opportunities:

Lenten Supper and Study: Beginning February 29th and continuing through the Wednesdays of Lent, our time together begins with evening prayer at 6:00pm and continues with a soup supper and time for fellowship. After supper we spend some time with our chosen book for this season. Our book this year will be Forgiven & Forgiving by the Rev. Dr. L. William Countryman. Copies are available from the parish office and through Amazon.com. Everyone is welcome!

Lenten Sunday Study: For those who are unable to make the Wednesday night soup suppers, our book discussion will also take place on Sunday morning starting at 9:15am. Starting February 26th.

Belong, Believe, Become: A three-part introductory series for adult inquirers and seekers. Topics include an introduction to the parish, the Episcopal Church, and on being a Christian. This class is held in the fall and is required for adults seeking baptism, confirmation, or reception into the Episcopal Church. Meets on Sunday mornings.

Christian Faith Series (formerly the Wednesday Bible Study): An ongoing group of mostly retired folks that has studied Scripture, church history, spirituality, and other topics for many years, but new members are most welcome! Right now we're reading and discussing Monasteries of the Heart by Sr. Joan Chittister. We meet at 2:00pm at the church from September-May.
